Welcome to the website of Sigma Epsilon Omega, Berkeley's first and only gay fraternity.
Founded February 22, 2007, Sigma Epsilon Omega (or SEO) has extended the opportunities that the traditional Greek Fraternity experience provides to gay, bisexual, queer, and straight men of the University of California, Berkeley. The Brothers of SEO work together to create a positive, supportive space for gay, bisexual, queer, and straight men, and their allies. We hope to engage our own communities through social events, philanthropy, activism, and scholastic pursuits. Sigma Epsilon Omega Fraternity seeks motivated men who are not afraid of defying stereotypes and can "make it happen!"

Pool Tournament Results

Thank you to everyone who turned out on Saturday to make SEO's first pool tournament a huge success. We raised over $1400 which will help us continue our work of improving our community and providing a safe place for queer men at Berkeley. A special thanks to our fundraising chair Nick Gonzalez and the tournament director Sean Drimmel for all of their hard work.

Queer Awareness Days

This campus wide group of events, activities and workshops seeks to promote awareness, educate participants and passerby, and unite and empower the Queer and Ally communities on and surrounding the UC Berkeley Campus. Check out the Facebook group:

Day of Silence

The Day of Silence, a project of the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN), is a student-led day of action when concerned students take some form of a vow of silence to bring attention to the name-calling, bullying and harassment -- in effect, the silencing -- experienced by LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) students and their allies. Check out the Facebook event:

Pool Tournament

Sigma Epsilon Omega is hosting its first biannual pool tournament in San Francisco, at Family Billiards on April 24. We are holding this tournament to raise funds for our Fraternity so that we may continue to promote tolerance and acceptance of LGBTQ people throughout the Greek community at Cal as well as in the greater Bay Area community.
